Basics

This page explains the main record types you will work with in evvo and how they connect to each other.

The 3 main record types

In evvo, most day-to-day work revolves around three main record types: Leads, Contacts, and Students.

Leads

Leads are used for families who have shown interest in your school. A lead usually starts when a parent makes an inquiry, fills out a form, or responds to a campaign.

You can use leads to:

  • keep the parent's inquiry details in one place
  • manage first conversations and follow-ups
  • track where each family is in your admissions process

In simple terms, a lead helps your team manage interest before a student is ready to move forward.

Students

Students are used when you are managing enrollment or re-enrollment.

Once a family is seriously moving forward and there is a high chance they will sign, you can convert the lead into a student. This helps your team move from early interest into the actual enrollment process without losing important information.

Contacts

Contacts store each person's details and contact information, such as parents, guardians, or other related people.

A contact can be connected to both leads and students at the same time. This allows you to keep one clear record for each person while still linking them to the right inquiry or student.

Schools

A school is a separate workspace inside evvo.

Depending on their role, a user may have access to one school or to multiple schools. This makes it easier for teams that manage a single location as well as organizations that operate across several schools.

Data Tables

In all main views in evvo, you will usually work with data tables. These tables help you review records, find information quickly, and personalize how data is displayed.

Data tables include the following features:

  • Sorting per column - sort records by clicking a column heading GS Table Sort
  • Visible columns - choose which columns you want to see; this is saved per user GS Table Sort
  • Quick search - search across multiple fields from one search box GS Table Sort
  • Advanced filter - filter records using one or many specific fields
  • Saved filters - save commonly used filters and apply them again with one click GS Table Sort
